N2 - Summary. Biological medications have revolutionized pharmacotherapy, particularly in patients with rheumatic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. The effectiveness of these therapeutic agents largely depends on patient adherence, as they, like other medications, can cause adverse effects that significantly contribute to treatment discontinuation among a substantial number of patients. In this context, clinical pharmacists play a crucial role as medication specialists, providing patient education, monitoring drug administration, and conducting pharmacotherapeutic follow-ups. These interventions enhance treatment quality, improve patient quality of life and therapeutic outcomes.
